You are now entering the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone

☂ ☂ ☂

CHAZ.zone is a hub for information and resources about the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ), a.k.a. Capitol Hill Occupied/Organized Protest (CHOP), established the evening of June 8, 2020 in the midst of the George Floyd protests in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle, WA. The zone was formed following the Seattle Police Department's sudden abandonment of the East Precinct after ten days of barricades, tear gas, pepper spray, and flashbang grenades used against largely peaceful protesters. This site aims to track its history and ongoing developments.
