The phrase “satanic and blase, a black goat lookingly wanders” has stayed with me for over sixty years, and this is the first lead I have had to it. In my ignorance I know nothing of E E Cummings, but of course will now have to go off on yet another journey of exploration. Can anyone help me to start? – I have read the Wikipedia entry.
